The Madison-Grant Argylls came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Wes-Del by a score of 64-53 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Madison-Grant also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
It was another big night for Gavin Kelich, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mavrick Griffin, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Wes-Del lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trey Adams, who scored 14 points along with seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Corben Price, who scored 14 points.
Madison-Grant's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-11. As for Wes-Del, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison-Grant will challenge the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastbrook is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home. As for Wes-Del, they will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Shenandoah focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Saturday.
