In what's become a running theme this season, the Ada-Borup Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Mahnomen/Waubun 81-59. The score was close at the half, but Ada-Borup pulled away in the second half with 46 points.
Austin McCraven was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with five assists and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Charles Scholl was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Ada-Borup's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Mahnomen/Waubun, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ada-Borup will challenge Cherry at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cherry has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,072 points over their last 12 matchups. Mahnomen/Waubun will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at 3:00 p.m. on January 27th.
