Given Caravel's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 13th in Delaware, while Tri-State Christian is ranked 62nd in Maryland), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Tri-State Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jeremiah Falko. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Falko, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Caravel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Tri-State Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.
