Vincent Navarro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 446 yards and three scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 446 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Shayne Falkenberg was in the mix too, providing Foresthill with two TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Foresthill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 540 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Foresthill didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Anderson and Waylon Gossic. Anderson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16.
Meanwhile, Mira Loma strolled past Delta with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 48-34.
The match pitted two dominant signal callers against one another in Deangelo Keys and Chase Parkinson. Keys had a great game and rushed for 111 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Meanwhile, Parkinson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 78 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 131 yards and one TD.
Foresthill's record is now 10-1. As for Mira Loma, their record now sits at 11-0.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Foresthill has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 270.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Mira Loma struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 208.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Foresthill ended up a good deal behind Mira Loma in their previous matchup back in October, losing 28-13. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Keys, who rushed for 86 yards, and also threw for 67 yards and one touchdown.
