Ridgway has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ouray Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Saturday, Ridgway was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 38-34 to Dove Creek. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ridgway has scored all season.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Ouray, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 52-37 loss to Dove Creek on Friday.
Ouray's defeat came about despite a quality game from Landen Hill, who scored 16 points along with four steals and three blocks. Hill hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cavan Pasek, who scored ten points.
Ridgway has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Ouray, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Ridgway beat Ouray 69-56 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Pasek, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Ridgway still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
