There's no place like home for the Summersville Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Bakersfield with a 68-62 win on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Summersville had a senior duo take command as Andrew Buschmann shot 4-for-8 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 assists and Garrin Greear almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Greear hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for five straight games. Paxton Hunter was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Summersville's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10. As for Bakersfield, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.
Summersville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-71 loss vs. Alton on the 6th. Bakersfield has also already played their next game, a 80-73 victory against Niangua on the 10th.
