The Upson-Lee Knights won against the Griffin Bears on Friday with three goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Saturday. Upson-Lee never let Griffin onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. Upson-Lee's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.
They hit Griffin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Kiersten Peoples,
Krissa Lewis, and
Georgia-Gale Hammock.
Upson-Lee's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three games. As for Griffin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Upson-Lee will take on Locust Grove at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Griffin, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Baldwin at 5:30 p.m. on February 15th.
