The Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers and the Rutherford Rams will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pleasure Ridge Park has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Rutherford will arrive with nine straight victories.
Last Friday, Pleasure Ridge Park ended up a good deal behind Tates Creek and lost 64-50.
Meanwhile, Rutherford was able to grind out a solid victory over Priceville on Wednesday, taking the game 48-38. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Rutherford has scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rutherford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Braniya Baker, who scored 14 points. The contest was Baker's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Butler, who scored 11 points.
Pleasure Ridge Park bumped their record down to 4-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rutherford, their win bumped their record up to 11-1.
