This season hasn't been kind to The Lindenwold Lions, who are still winless after their eighth matchup. They fell to Bishop Eustace Prep 32-28. Lindenwold lost against Bishop Eustace Prep in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 14-6 score last time.
Bishop Eustace Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mekhi Simmons out in front who rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Simmons was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Terrence Goffney, who rushed for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Lindenwold's loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.5 points per game. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
Lindenwold does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bishop Eustace Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Collingswood at 11:00 a.m. on November 23rd.
