The Terre Haute North Vigo Patriots are taking a road trip to challenge the Edgewood Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Terre Haute North Vigo is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Terre Haute North Vigo's last matchup with Castle could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Saturday. The Patriots came up short against the Knights, falling 8-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Edgewood sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over Bloomington South on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted against the Panthers since March 31, 2018.

Edgewood's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sam Lawson, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Having lost for the first time this season, Terre Haute North Vigo fell to 5-1. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 1-0 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Terre Haute North Vigo came out on top in a nail-biter against Edgewood in their previous matchup back in April of 2023, sneaking past 4-2. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
