On Tuesday Madee Pearson struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). The effort marked the most strikeouts Pearson has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with less than two walks. This season, she has an ERA of 8.18 over 43.7 innings pitched.

Coming up, Pearson and Richmond will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Jack Britt at 6:00 p.m. The Raiders are 8-2 against the Buccaneers going back to March of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
