Trinity Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Ellsworth Bearcats  2-1. The  victory was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on eight straight.
 Trinity Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-17,  25-21.
 Audrey Smith paced Trinity Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from  Grace Barrett and her 19 assists.
  Kinly Place and  Kelli Rodriguez certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss.  Place  had 19  digs and seven  assists, while  Rodriguez  had 20  digs and two  assists. With that strong performance,  Rodriguez is now averaging an impressive 10.2  digs per game.
Trinity Academy's win bumped their record up to 29-5. As for Ellsworth, they moved to 32-9 with that  loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.
 Trinity Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-0  victory against Hesston on the 30th. As for Ellsworth, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  defeat against Silver Lake on the 30th.
