There's no place like home for Northwest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hastings Saxons on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Mounties in their matchups with the Saxons: they've now won six in a row.

Northwest easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18.

Avery Redmond paced Northwest's offense, picking up 11 kills. Redmond got some help from Emersyn Carroll and her eight assists. Shannon Christner controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Northwest's win bumped their record up to 3-22-4. As for Hastings, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-22-1 record this season.

Northwest is taking a road trip to challenge Lumen Christi Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hastings, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Belding at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
