Abby Courtney had an outrageously good game as she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Lucy Courtney was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Despite the defeat, Carson had strong showings from Rylee Hedrick, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and seven steals, and Laila Furr, who scored seven points along with three steals. Furr hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games.
Lake Norman Charter's win bumped their record up to 5-15. As for Carson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Lake Norman Charter will head out on the road to challenge the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Robinson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Knights in North Carolina (the Bulldogs are ranked 89th, while the Knights are ranked 415th).
