After flying high against the Windsor Greyhounds last Saturday, the Stover Bulldogs came back down to earth. Stover received a tough blow on Monday as they fell 54-38 to Richland.
Stover's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlyn Pinzke, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That was a full 42.1% of Stover's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hannah Bauer, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Stover's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-9. As for Richland, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stover will take on La Monte at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Stover focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. As for Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Iberia at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
