On Thursday, Sayre strolled past South Philadelphia with points to spare, taking the game 56-39.
Sayre's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josh Rollins, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rollins has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zahki Solomon, who scored 14 points.
Sayre's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for South Philadelphia, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Sayre will take on Parkway Center City at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Philadelphia, they will head out on the road to face off against Muhlenberg at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Muhlenberg presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South Philadelphia in Pennsylvania (Muhlenberg is ranked 154th, while South Philadelphia is ranked 683rd).
