Calistoga put the finishing touches on their tenth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by Victory Christian Academy on the road to the tune of 73-12. While fans of Calistoga might be used to big wins, the 61-point margin marked the team's biggest win yet this season.
Calistoga's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Diego Perez led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Perez also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Will Ulloa, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Grace Christian Academy came into Tuesday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Victory Christian Academy by a score of 61-48 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Grace Christian Academy needed coming off of a 71-47 loss in their prior match.
Calistoga's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Grace Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-8.
Everything came up roses for Calistoga against Grace Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 79-39 victory. With Calistoga ahead 39-16 at the half, the match was all but over already.
