The Richardson Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against Berkner by a score of 54-41. Given Richardson's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 259th, while the Rams are ranked 746th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Richardson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristan Aldridge, who scored 19 points along with four steals. Aldridge hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Ciera Hanks, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and two blocks.
Richardson is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-13 record this season. As for Berkner, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-17.
Richardson will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berkner does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
