The Social Circle Redskins can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They strolled past Stockbridge with points to spare, taking the game 61-46. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up nine more assists than your opponent, as Social Circle did.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Social Circle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jameccus Hardge, who scored 17 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ean Mulkey, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Jason Brookins and Kameron Jackson certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Brookins scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Jackson dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chase Taylor, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds.
Social Circle's win bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Stockbridge, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Social Circle will square off against George Walton Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. George Walton Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Stockbridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
