Volleyball Recap: Labrae Starts Season with Victory at Home

LaBrae gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Struthers Wildcats by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Vikings, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.

Leah DeArmitt paced LaBrae's offense, picking up eight kills. DeArmitt got some help from Shelby Bragg and her 12 assists. DeArmitt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Coincidentally, LaBrae and Struthers will both be playing Lowellville the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Rockets at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
