The Richland Colts kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell to LaMoure/Litchville-Marion 54-49. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Richland in their matchups with LaMoure/Litchville-Marion: they've now lost four in a row.
Richland lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nick Mjoness, who scored 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Ulven, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Richland's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for LaMoure/Litchville-Marion, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Dakota Prairie at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th. LaMoure/Litchville-Marion will be home for the holidays to greet Central Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
