The Hardin-Central Bulldogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Braymer Bobcats at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Hardin-Central put another one in the bag last Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Keytesville at home to the tune of 75-37. Given Hardin-Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Keytesville is ranked 478th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Braymer scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 87-8 win over Breckenridge. That looming 87-8 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Braymer yet this season.
Braymer's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Haley, who scored 12 points. The game was Haley's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Wade Kincaid was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Hardin-Central pushed their record up to 7-0 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Braymer, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
Hardin-Central and Braymer were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February, but Hardin-Central came up empty-handed after a 47-46 defeat.
