Vision came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 53-45 victory over Gem State Adventist Academy. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but Vision was the better team in the second half.
Grady Walo was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Isaac Bay, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds.
Vision is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vision will take on Liberty Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Gem State Adventist Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centennial Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centennial Baptist is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
