Softball Recap: Immanuel Has No Trouble Against Madera South

While Immanuel put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Madera South. The Immanuel Eagles put the hurt on the Madera South Stallions with a sharp 15-0 win. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Stallions, too.

Amanda Herrera made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Immanuel got a massive performance out of Natalia Delgadillo, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Addison Efird, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Immanuel always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madera South only posted an OBP of .000.

Immanuel's victory bumped their record up to 2-0-1. As for Madera South, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Immanuel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against El Diamante on the 8th. As for Madera South, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Fowler on the 8th.
