Red Brooks made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Mountain Ridge got a massive performance out of Brooklyn Van Renselaar, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Mountain Ridge's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for American Fork, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-19.
