Curtis Baptist extended the longest winning streak in GISA 1A this week by beating Fullington Academy, 52-7. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Curtis Baptist led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Trojan. Trey Reid ran for 210 yards in the win.
Nathan Duffie's team's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Christian Reid threw for 20 and 1 touchdown and Smokey Poole had 18 yards receiving. On the ground Reid chipped in 210 yards.
Reid provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Crusaders topped Fullington Academy.
Reid was a beast in the backfield as Curtis Baptist topped Ken Fowler's team.
Reid put up the best numbers through the air as the Crusaders bested the Trojan.
Curtis Baptist's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Reid has thrown for 781 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Alphonzo Meyer has 11 catches for 244 yards.
Jefferson Academy made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,241 from 11,023. The improvement was largely due to a 41-20 victory over Crisp Academy last week.
