Football Recap: Summerville Skates Past Stall with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summerville). They really took it to the Stall Warriors for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-6 win. The Green Wave haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Cameron Grayson was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Stafford, who threw for 133 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 passes.

Another reason for the win was Summerville's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 12 sacks. Jt Williams led the group effort, picking up three of those sacks all by himself. Williams is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Summerville received some extra help from Jakayden Pendergrass, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Summerville's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Stall, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summerville will square off against James Island at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Green Wave will need to watch out since the Trojans have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests. As for Stall, they will take on Ashley Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
