The West Florence Knights will face off against the Hartsville Red Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, West Florence got the win against Westwood by a conclusive 14-3.
Annie Ruth Eliason was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Charisma Williams, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Hannah Grace Duke was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
West Florence was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .424. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westwood only posted a batting average of .217.
Meanwhile, Hartsville had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Tuesday. They blew past the Golden Rams 16-1.
Allie Bailey looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Myah Harvey was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jaysha McCullough, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI.
Hartsville pushed their record up to 19-4 with the victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for West Florence, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
Hartsville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. West Florence has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hartsville, though, as they've been averaging only 3.3 strikeouts. Will West Florence keep running through batters, or will the Red Foxes buck the trend?
West Florence took their victory against Hartsville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Red Foxes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
