On Friday, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy wound up with the same score they had in their last game (54-46), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Bender, who scored 14 points, and Brendan Whitney who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Barna, who scored eight points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Babcock to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Allen, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds. Allen hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Jameson Habing, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season. As for Babcock, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-9.
Pineapple Cove Classical Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. John Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (St. John Lutheran is ranked 803rd, while Pineapple Cove Classical Academy is ranked 781st). Babcock will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Innovation Montessori at 1:30 p.m. on January 20th. Hopefully Innovation Montessori focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday.
