The Springfield Blue Devils will head out on the road to challenge the Waite Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Springfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Bowsher out 60-58. Springfield's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Aaron Adams was the offensive standout of the game as he scored 17 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Nate Pope, who scored 11 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Waite, who are still winless after their 14th match. They took a 64-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northwood on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Springfield's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9. As for Waite, their loss was their 12th straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-14.
