Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Burlington's Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Burlington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Hesston Swathers. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Swathers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

While Burlington had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21.

Hesston got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Callie Yoder out in front who had 11 digs and one assist.

Burlington's loss dropped their record down to 31-8. As for Hesston, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 25-12.

Burlington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hesston, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Garden Plain on the 25th.
