On Friday, Rensselaer/Loudonville Christian was beaten by Fonda-Fultonville 61-12. While losing is never fun, Rensselaer/Loudonville Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 520th, while Fonda-Fultonville is ranked 100th).
Fonda-Fultonville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keegan Croucher led the charge by throwing for 260 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Smith, who rushed for 84 yards.
Rensselaer/Loudonville Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. As for Fonda-Fultonville, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Rensselaer/Loudonville Christian will be playing at home against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fonda-Fultonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
