Rocklin is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Oak Ridge is on a 15-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. Rocklin will host Oak Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Rocklin 1.6, Oak Ridge 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Rocklin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Folsom, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. Rocklin's pitcher stepped up to hand Folsom a 7-0 shutout on Friday. The Thunder might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Payton Prior was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Savannah Lorenzini, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cat Alston, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Oak Ridge sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Granite Bay on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won five in a row.
Siena Maher looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Gemma Almont and Brooklyn Paratore did most of the damage at the plate: Almont scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Paratore scored two runs while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Montes De Oca, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Rocklin's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Oak Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-0.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Rocklin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. However, it's not like Oak Ridge struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rocklin couldn't quite finish off Oak Ridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 2-0. Can Rocklin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
