The matchup between McMinn Central and Polk County on Thursday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Chargers were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Wildcats. With that victory, McMinn Central brought their scoring average up to 3.1 goals per game.

Their offense was hitting Polk County from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Quinton Grueber led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

McMinn Central's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6-1. As for Polk County, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
