Cedar Creek Christian extended the longest winning streak in 2A District 2 this week by beating Christ's Church Academy, 26-21. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Cedar Creek Christian and the Eagles played the closest game in the league this week, with Cedar Creek Christian eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory. Terence Sapp threw for 84 yards and 1 touchdown and ran for 46 yards during the win.
Terence Bacon threw for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 9-14 with 1 interception.
Charlie Martin was a key player and the best on defense this week as Harvest Community fell to University Christian. He forced 1 fumble.

The Panthers' Chris Brown and Damien McGhee led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Brown has thrown for 818 yards this season, while McGhee has 21 catches for 407 yards. The Warriors' Lonnie Marts III leads the league in rushing yards with 979.
Harvest Community's Marts III needs only 21 yards against Jamie Gamel's team next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Marts III has rushed for 979 yards on 72 carries so far this year.
A big matchup in 2A District 2 this week will be when Lonnie Marts' team takes on the Saints. The Warriors are in fourth place, while Cedar Creek Christian is in first place.
The Christians took down Harvest Community 60-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Billy Cobb threw for 165 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
