Hillsboro was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Boscobel on Tuesday. Hillsboro's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Wonewoc-Center, their record is now 5-12.
Wonewoc-Center's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hillsboro hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .390. It's a different story for Wonewoc-Center, though, as they've only averaged .246. Will they be able to contain Hillsboro's hitters?
Hillsboro was able to grind out a solid win over Wonewoc-Center in their previous meeting back in April, winning 8-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
