The Freedom Patriots had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Easton Area out 51-48. The win was just what Freedom needed coming off of a 65-38 defeat in their prior matchup.
Despite the loss, Easton Area still got an impressive performance from Tyshaun Dunlap, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dunlap has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adonis Pompilus, who scored eight points.
Freedom's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-13. As for Easton Area, they dropped their record down to 6-12 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freedom's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Bethlehem Catholic is ranked 464th, while Freedom is ranked 476th). As for Easton Area, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Parkland at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Parkland will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
