The Kiski Area Cavaliers will be home for the holidays to greet the Indiana Little Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Kiski Area has not done well against Mars recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Kiski Area skirted past Mars 52-50. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Kiski Area has scored all year.
Meanwhile, Indiana didn't have too much trouble with Windber at home on Wednesday as they won 61-43. Given Indiana's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Windber is ranked 440th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kiski Area's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-1. As for Indiana, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Everything came up roses for Kiski Area against Indiana when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 70-35 win. Does Kiski Area have another victory up their sleeve, or will Indiana turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
