The Dexter Dreadnaughts put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They secured a 44-38 W over Ferndale. Given Dexter's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Ferndale is ranked 40th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ferndale's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aaliyah Frost, who scored nine points along with five rebounds, and Iyanna Davis who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds. Davis set a new season high mark in steals with two. Keyanna McGarrell was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Dexter's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dexter will be home for the holidays to greet South Lyon East at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferndale will be home for the holidays to greet Dakota at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
