Raceland is 2-8 against West Carter since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Raceland Rams will head out on the road to take on the West Carter Comets at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Saturday, Raceland had to suffer through a rough 83-54 loss at the hands of Fleming County. Raceland has not had much luck with Fleming County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, West Carter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their seventh straight defeat. They were beaten by Rowan County 67-35. While losing is never fun, West Carter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Rowan County is ranked 53rd).
Raceland has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for West Carter, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16.
Raceland strolled past West Carter in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 62-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Raceland since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
