Polo is on a four-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Wellington-Napoleon is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Polo Panthers will take on the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Polo came up short against Braymer and fell 48-41.
Meanwhile, Wellington-Napoleon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 46-40 to St. Paul Lutheran.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Haden Terrill, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Waterworth, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Wellington-Napoleon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Polo's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Polo might still be hurting after the 68-45 loss they got from Wellington-Napoleon in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Will Polo have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
