The Bruton Panthers won the last time they faced the Warhill Lions, and things went their way on Monday too. Bruton secured a 58-54 W over Warhill. Given Bruton's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Warhill is ranked 275th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Brandon Freeman, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Another player making a difference was Kareem Davis, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Bruton pushed their record up to 16-6 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Warhill, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Bruton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Warhill also has no future games currently scheduled.
