The Kingsbury Falcons will head out on the road to square off against City University School of Liberal Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Kingsbury has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 5.
Last Thursday, Kingsbury suffered a tough 71-47 loss at the hands of Memphis East.
Meanwhile, City University School of Liberal Arts was able to grind out a solid win over Varsity Opponent on Monday, taking the game 62-51.
Cohen Butler had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Bowen, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Kingsbury's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-7. As for City University School of Liberal Arts, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season.
Kingsbury barely slipped by City University School of Liberal Arts when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 45-44. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was City University School of Liberal Arts' J'Rias Bush, who scored 21 points along with two steals.
