The Vistamar Vikings won the last time they faced the Lennox Academy Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Vistamar took down Lennox Academy 57-41. Given Vistamar's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while Lennox Academy is ranked 1219th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaiah Hill continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Hill is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caiden Chen, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Vistamar pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points per game. As for Lennox Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vistamar will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Wildwood at 6:30 p.m. on January 17th. As for Lennox Academy, they will challenge Hawthorne Math & Science Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
