It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Medina Valley can now relate to. They lost  3-0 to the Canyon Cougars on Thursday. The Panthers were not able to make up for their  defeat to the Cougars from their previous meeting  back in November of 2024.
 Leading Canyon to victory were  Grace Skidmore and  Piper Hoskins.  Skidmore  had seven  digs and two  aces, while  Hoskins  had eight  digs.  Nahlia Djibril also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first assist of the season.
Medina Valley's loss dropped their record down to 21-20. As for Canyon, the  victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 32-13.
 Medina Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon, they will square off against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
