The Superior Panthers will challenge the Ray Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Superior knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Ray likes a good challenge.
On Saturday, Superior got the win against San Simon by a conclusive 18-3. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by ten runs or more this season.

Alyna Cruz made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Superior got a massive performance out of Lilliana Fritz, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Kadynce Toner, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Superior always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .605 or higher in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ray lost 18-1 to Mogollon on Friday. The Bearcats have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.
Ray saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julissa Garcia, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
Superior pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ray, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Superior has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .525. However, it's not like Ray struggles in that department as they've averaged .520. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Superior took their victory against Ray in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 16-4 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bearcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
