Bellevue East won the last time they faced Bryan and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Chieftains put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp  13-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won eight matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
Bellevue East let  Bayler Truax and  Connor Stephens run wild. Truax  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  RBI, while  Stephens  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, two  RBI,  and one  double. Stephens is becoming a predictor of Bellevue East's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is undefeated (and 8-10 when he doesn't). Meanwhile, Bryan will  square off against  rival Lincoln High  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
