Softball Recap: Crestview's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lincolnview, Crestview was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Fairview Apaches 12-11. Considering the Knights' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Crestview got a massive performance out of Delaine Balliet, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Violet Dirr, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.

Crestview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Crestview moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Fairview, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Crestview didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 13-4 defeat against Marion Local on the 12th. As for Fairview, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-8 win against Evergreen on the 12th.
