After a string of four wins, Appling County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the South Effingham Mustangs. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

Appling County's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for South Effingham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Appling County will challenge Toombs County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Effingham, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Long County on the 26th.
