Meanwhile, Doddridge County was the victim of a rough 52-27 defeat at the hands of the Titans on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Doddridge County has scored all season.
Despite their defeat, Doddridge County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Akaia Williams, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals, was perhaps the best of all. Aleigh Cheeseman was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds.
Clay County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Doddridge County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-4.
Clay County was dealt a bruising 74-29 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Clay County was down 37-11.
